First Lady Catherine Shannon

Lady Catherine Shannon holds the distinction of being the eldest child of the late Pastor Sylvester and Ida (Sweet) Hamilton. In 1974, she proudly graduated from Olive Branch High School, and subsequently pursued her education at the Allura School of Cosmetology. There, she honed her skills in cosmetology and eventually became a co- owner of a thriving beauty salon business. After dedicating twenty-five years to her career as a hair stylist, she made the decision to retire from that profession. 

In 1997, Lady Catherine embarked on a new chapter in her life, taking on the role of the First Lady at the St. Luke Church of God in Christ, where she began her full-time service. In addition to this significant role, she serves as the Administrator of the St. Luke Christian Academy and holds positions as the President of the Women’s Department, the Hospitality Committee, and the Founder/President of the Helping Hands Ministry.  Her dedication to ministry doesn't stop there. She has previously held notable positions, including Elect Lady of the Northern Mississippi Evangelist Department and President of the Northern Mississippi Pastors’ Wives.

Furthermore, Lady Catherine Shannon is a valued member of "The Pastors" Wives Sisterhood." In her multifaceted roles, both within and outside of ministry. 

Lady Catherine works diligently alongside her husband to advance the ministry entrusted to them by God.

Her unwavering love for God's people is evident in her daily interactions, earning her the reputation as "the first lady who never meets a stranger." Her warm smile and encouraging words are constants in her interactions with everyone she meets. When asked what love has to do with it, her reply is always...EVERYTHING! She firmly believes that love is the cornerstone of how one should treat others and oneself, embodying this principle in her actions and words each day.
